Cattle, Bison and Buffalo

The Service enables you to amend birth records for animals at any location you are authorized to access.

While all fields can be amended, there are specific limitations for Cattle, Buffalo, and Bison:

• If the animal is not at the birth location, only the sex can be amended, and this can be done only once.
• If the animal is at the birth location, the following fields can be edited only once by authorized keepers of agricultural holdings (not by markets or abattoirs): Date of Birth, Breed, Sex, Dam, Surrogate, Sire Number, and Embryo Transfer.

Changes cannot be made if the passport has already been issued.

Additionally, the Service allows you to cancel birth records at locations you are authorized to access, but this feature is not available for Cattle, Buffalo, and Bison.
