Cattle, Bison and Buffalo

The Service supports the reporting of both deaths and kills, with the following requirements:

• Deaths: When reporting a death on an agricultural holding, you must provide the animal number, Date of Death, and the reason for death. Death reasons and information about who collected the animals (when applicable) can be obtained from a reference data API. The Service also allows for reporting the death of an animal that has not been registered as a birth and remains untagged.
• Kills: When reporting a kill at an abattoir, you need to provide the animal number and Date of Death.

You can submit reports for deaths (on farm) or kills (at an abattoir) for any animals at locations you are authorized to access. This functionality also allows you to review and correct submitted reports using the correction tool if necessary.
